The Company, founded by Mr. Ugo Gori in 1950, was born as an artisan workroom for the production of brooms in Larciano (PT). In 1963 the firm moves to Monsummano Terme (PT), and starts the productions of floor cloths with the incorporation of the son Lauro who, in 1970 enlarges the production site with a first renewal of the weaving. in 1985 arrives, with the prize DAVID D'ORO, the first acknowledgement for the activity carried on. In 1990 the Company moves to a new plant situated in the industrial area of Monsummano Terme.
Thanks to the strong spirit and the entrepreneurial dedication of the whole family, together with a production of high quality articles, in the course of the years the company consolidates its position on the market.
In 1992 the firm GORI LAURO S.n.c., always careful to the changes and the needs of the market, makes important investments to refresh its production and launches on the market a complete line of articles for the household cleaning under CASAMIA brand.
As a consequence of the operations made, the following years see the Company establishing its position also in the market of the Big Distribution Organised.
In 1998 the owner together with his wife Paola and the daughters Romina and Ilaria, pushed by the successes of their work, decide to reconfirm and improve their own production. So, the firm changes its name in CASAMIA S.r.l., and adds to the actual production plant, a modern weaving factory.
In 2001 achieves UNI EN ISO 9001 certification.
Today the Company, where 20 people work, thanks to the owners' experience and to the continuous investements, is highly specialised in the production of different kinds of cotton and synthetic cloths, cut end and continuous yarn Mops, synthetic Mops and in the automatic packing of above articles with the goal of the best quality.
